Daimler Truck AG suspends business activities in Russia

Following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Daimler Truck AG, which supplies and maintains Mercedes-Benz and Setra coaches and buses, issued the following statement on Friday 29 February: “We are deeply shocked by the military violence in Ukraine and very concerned about the threats to peace and stability in Europe. We clearly stand for peaceful global cooperation and categorically reject any form of military force.

“We have decided to suspend our business activities in Russia with immediate effect until further notice. We are monitoring the situation closely and will review our decision regularly. Of course, we will comply with all measures taken by the German government and the EU.”
