Leyland Titan PD3 50 (RCT 3) was
the second of just two double-deck bodies ever built by WS Yeates of Loughborough, and both were produced especially for Delaine. The bus spent its whole working life with the company and was its last rear entrance double-decker to remain
in service. It was pictured in Bourne during the Delaine running day on 25 April. STEPHEN GOW

It’s that same old story, isn’t it… you’re out minding your own business when all of a sudden, you hear that unmistakable sound of a Leyland Atlantean, recognising that something interesting is about to come around the corner long before it appears. CBW’s Business Manager Gemma assures us that she immediately recognised the engine noise whilst out for a walk in Rippingale on Saturday 26 April, before bumping into photographer Stephen Gow, who shared a few photos of the event. As always, Delaine’s enduringly popular fleet of classic buses (some of them appearing not so old!) were immaculately presented, and ran alongside visitors including Leicester Transport Heritage Trust’s BMMO S22 single-decker PHA 505G.
