Jonathan Welch speaks to co-founder and Managing Director Pete Thompson about new CPT Training partner Lloyd Morgan Group
The name Lloyd Morgan Group will be familiar to regular readers of CBW, thanks to the company’s advertising within our pages. Based in Cannock, Staffordshire, the company specialises in transport compliance solutions, and is somewhat of a one-stop shop for everything from tachographs to training. Following its appointment as the training provider to CPT as part of the new CPT Training offering, we spoke to founder and Managing Director Pete Thompson to find out more about the firm and what it offers.
Pete started as an apprentice engineer with Travel West Midlands. He then moved into product delivery and subsequently to head office as a vehicle and systems auditor. He later moved on to a large logistic hub operation and went on to run facilities, training, health and safety, environment, and security.
Looking back, he recalled that it was then he became aware that when using third parties, they did not always deliver on their promises and claims they made, and Pete felt he could provide a better service himself; one that was more customer focused, a frustration he said
he had personally experienced when using other companies.
