‘Depot pet’ vehicles at BusFest!

BusFestThis year’s Fenland BusFest had lots to offer enthusiasts. Nick Larkin reports on some stand-out depot pets and service vehicles

Older buses and coaches owned by operators and individuals in the industry starred at this year’s Fenland BusFest.

Some vehicles were immaculately restored while others still remained in revenue earning service, though often regarded as ‘depot pets.’

BusFest, based at Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire, took place on 19 May and featured more than 30 vehicles running to Peterborough, Turves and Yaxley. In addition a service operated to Ramsey, where a major classic car show took place.
