A classic bus running day evoqued memories of classic Devon buses, reports Jonathan Welch
Ten vintage buses brought nostalgic travel to the roads in and around Tiverton on Sunday 1 September as the Devon General Society recreated local bus routes of the 1960s.
A series of free bus services ran from the bus station around the town, and out to Bampton, Thorverton and Tiverton Parkway, whilst an open-top bus provided a local tour. Altogether, the event’s organisers report that 1,855 passenger trips were made during the day.
