Stoke-on-Trent based D&G Bus has announced a change of ownership to the 90 vehicle operation
David Reeves, Managing Director and major shareholder of D&G Bus Ltd has sold his shares in the company to his fellow Director Julian Peddle’s Centrebus Group, with the deal completing this month.
Commenting on his decision to leave, David Reeves said: “D&G started in 1998 and through hard work and dedication we have grown steadily. I am proud of what we have achieved, the staff we employ and I appreciate the important part they have played in D&G’s success.
“We operate a good standard of service and I am confident D&G will continue to do so. “However, following a health issue in 2016, I have personally lost some of my enthusiasm and now I am looking for a change in lifestyle.
“D&G will always be close to my heart and I wish Julian, the management and staff, all the very best going forward. Thank you for an amazing 20 years.”
Matt Evans, Centrebus Managing Director (MD) will take over the additional MD role at D&G and Kevin Crawford will continue as Operation Director and de facto senior manager on a day to day basis.
Kevin said: “I would like to take this opportunity to say that I am very pleased D&G Bus have now become part of the Centrebus Group and I look forward to working with Matt and the team at Centrebus.
“I have personally known Dave Reeves for a number of years and worked with him on numerous projects during this time.
“Dave has always conducted his business in a professional manor and has a proven track record in the industry, which is one of the main reasons why D&G Bus has not just survived but flourished.”
Matt Evans commented: “My fellow Directors and I look forward to welcoming the staff at D&G into the Centrebus Group of companies. D&G has become a well-respected operator/ brand throughout Staffordshire, Stoke and East Cheshire and there are no plans to change anything, it will be business as usual.
“The D&G management team will continue to run the operation as they have ably been doing so.”
