[/wlm_nonmember][wlm_ismember] Route maps, and the availability of them both online and in printed form, are a regular subject of debate within the industry and among those who follow it. So it’s always nice to see a company invest the time and effort to produce them. CBW spotted this recent post on the social media feed of Kent-based GRM Mapping, which designs printed and online publicity material, interactive journey planning websites, compiles Bus Open Data-compliant information and produces online and printed maps. Once you see it, you can’t un-see the outline of a rampaging dinosaur, drawn by the route map for a Border Bus town service in Beccles, Suffolk.

Between them, GRM’s directors have over 35 years’ experience in using and portraying geo-referenced data to help public transport users find their way and local authorities to help residents visualise their local environmental and development plans – although we imagine this might be the first time any of those has involved a dinosaur!
