The 6th of October marked the date for the second edition of Holland’s annual OV Expo trade show, which primarily focuses on the region’s dynamic and international-exporting coach and bus industries, and took place in Houten near Utrecht. During this year’s event, Dutch VDL and Belgian Van Hool followed up fellow last year’s unveling by Benelux (Dutch) supplier Ebusco, in utilising the venue for their premier domestic début of the New Generation Citea and A-series bus models respectively.

Even though both competing producers often make use of several similar (regional) suppliers, such as Ventura door systems, Kiel Sitze seatings, and Buvetex fabrics – featuring designs by Ebusco 3.0 designer KesselsGranger – both vehicles proved to be markedly different form each other.
