LKQ has sought to cut its yearly carbon emissions by transitioning an initial 67 vehicles from its HGV logistics fleet to run on low carbon hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), otherwise known as biofuel, with an estimated yearly saving of over 4 million kilogrammes of CO˜e. The business also added 30 compressed natural gas-powered Scania trucks to its fleet during 2024 and has also migrated a number of its light commercial vehicles to electric power. LKQ
