Two events were held over one weekend to commemorate the 90th anniversary of legendary operator Western Welsh.

Stagecoach in South Wales held an open day on Saturday 7 September at its Cwmbran depot, which was owned by Western Welsh when it opened. Free bus rides were part of the celebrations. Stagecoach Cumbria loaned Wrightbus-bodied Volvo B5TL ‘Lakesider’ open-top bus BV17CTO, which is normally used in the Lake District.
