Go-Ahead’s East Yorkshire has been promoting passenger safety in winter weather

Go-Ahead Group operator East Yorkshire Buses says it is proud to have launched its new ‘Be Safe, Be Seen’ campaign, aiming to promote safe travel during the shorter days of winter, especially in rural areas. From mid-January, the company is distributing road-safe snap bands to passengers to help enhance their visibility and safety during low-light conditions.

The road-safe reflective snap bands, designed to be worn by passengers on their arms, are designed to ensure better visibility when waiting for the bus, particularly those commuting in early morning or evening hours.

The operator’s Head of Commercial Stuart Fillingham said: “We’re committed to the safety and well-being of our passengers, and these road-safe snap bands will play a crucial role in enhancing visibility and safety during rural journeys.”
