Bus driver Jamie Vendy now has some interesting ‘souvenirs’ from his childhood holidays in East Anglia – three former Eastern Counties vehicles! Jamie’s collection is certainly diverse, and includes a Mercedes Benz minibus, a Volvo coach and a Scania service bus.
“As a ’90s child I used to live in Kettering, Northants where it was wall-to-wall Stagecoach stripes. We used to go on holiday to Great Yarmouth where there was so much more bus variety. Every time we returned something had changed; for example the transition from Great Yarmouth to Blue Bus.” Jamie went on to drive for several operators before taking up his present post with Connexions Buses in North Yorkshire.
