A major two-day gathering of Eastern Counties buses and coaches took place to commemorate the half-century of an organisation dedicated to preserving the operator’s former vehicles.
The Eastern Transport Collection Society’s 50th Anniversary event took place at the East Anglia Transport Museum near Lowestoft, Suffolk. First Eastern Counties sponsored the event and provided buses for the Park & Ride service. The operator exhibited six of its seven vehicles painted in heritage liveries from post-deregulation Eastern Counties to Great Yarmouth Transport and former independent Flying Banana.
