Ember has launched a new Dundee to Aberdeen service via the A96 and the Cairngorms, restoring services over a route which has few public transport options. Serving the city’s airport, buses from Aberdeen will also call at Banchory, Braemar and Blairgowrie on the route, which began on 23 July with one return service per day. Ember says it expects to add additional journeys in the near future. An adult single from Dundee to Braemar will cost £8.60 when booked online, and from Aberdeen to Braemar will be £8.50.
The company has also launched a new Thurso to Inverness service, with stops in Scrabster, Wick, Dunbeath, Brora, Tain and Dingwall. The route began on 9 July with four return services per day, and the company said it plans to add additional stops. An adult single fare is priced at £14.70 for the full journey when booked online.
