According to one independent operator and preservationist, enthusiasts could help alleviate the driver shortage, reports Nick Larkin

Encouraging enthusiasts to drive is a way to help solve shortages in the bus industry, says Brian Clifford, proprietor of A2B Travel Group and the owner of a 1984 Leyland Olympian called ‘Jumbo.’

Presented in the full post deregulation livery of original owner PMT, the Olympian sees service on schools work and has even been operating duplicates on A2B’s 12 service routes in Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Essex and Suffolk.
