Matt Kitchin is Stagecoach Manchester’s Operations Director. He talks to Andy Izatt about how the company is focusing on staff engagement to deliver consistent quality customer service

Manchester can be a tough place to run buses,” explained Stagecoach Manchester Operations Director Matt Kitchin. “It’s well known for its congestion. For us there are several really big challenges. The first is the lack of layover space for buses in the city centre and second is the number of events that can disrupt our services. Then there’s the many new building developments that restrict road capacity and incessant roadworks.
