The batch of left hand drive Wrightbus Kite Hydroliner buses for Cologne operator RVK is close to completion, says the manufacturer, which has released images of the buses on the finishing lines at its Ballymena factory. With a claimed ‘best-In-Industry’ range of 1.030km, the buses feature a flat floor throughout and are compliant with Germany’s VDV standards.
Wrightbus CEO Jean-Marc Gales said: “For Wrightbus, hydrogen represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get ahead in the large-scale manufacturing of a technology that will be in demand across the world. These buses are further evidence of the leading role we are playing on the global stage in tackling climate change through sustainable transport.”
