Jonathan Welch looks at the new 10.8-metre variant of MCV’s Volvo B8RLE-based eVoRa as delivered to Stagecoach in Orkney
Last week, we looked at the changing operations of Stagecoach in Orkney, which has just received a new fleet of 34 buses to replace its varied collection of buses and coaches and provide a re-invigorated public transport offering on the island. The new buses are a mix of Optare Solos and MCV-bodied Volvo B8RLEs, the latter in both 12.1 and 10.8-metre form to cater for a variety of different requirements and duties, from commercial and contracted routes to school services and private hire.
