Three articulated buses once used to transport people to and from Luton Airport are now moving soldiers in Ukraine following their donation by the Go-Ahead Group to the Swindon Humanitarian Aid Partnership.

Having been withdrawn in March when the airport launched its new driverless shuttle, the buses will be used as transport for Ukrainian soldiers. Retaining their Luton livery, they were driven to their new home by a team of volunteer drivers. The Go-Ahead Group said it was good the buses could be put to good use, as a small contribution to Ukraine’s war effort. The delivery follows a fourth bus from another Go-Ahead operator which was donated to Ukraine in May and is now being used a field hospital.
