Hugely popular with children (and adult ‘children’ too) during the season is this delightfully eccentric miniature open-top double-decker MRM1 (BNK 217A) built on the running units of a 1963 Mini car. Given ‘house-style’ displays for the 68 service, it was also promoting the work of a local artist – a cheery wave from Lorraine as she passes by, having done a little late-summer shopping on the way home with this family favourite vehicle (in true ‘On the Buses’ fashion).
