A fire at Lichfield Road Industrial Estate in Tamworth destroyed 10 coaches on Saturday 29 December.

The coaches which caught ablaze were owned by Solus Coaches.

Birmingham Live reported that more than 20 firefighters and six engines were called in to tackle the blaze, which is thought to have been started by an electrical fire.

No one was injured in the fire; however a building next to the coach depot was also damaged.

In a statement on its website, Solus Coaches said: “Following the fire incident on 29 December 2018, Solus would like to sincerely thank all the well wishers for their support.

A massive thank you for the fire service and the police that promptly attended the scene.

“Solus confirms that it is business as usual.”
