In September, Solaris delivered seven electric buses to the German city of Erlangen, the first short Urbino 9 LE buses in the country.

Operated by Erlanger Stadtwerke Stadtverkehr the buses are powered by 100% green electricity and will run on the new ‘CityLinie 299’ route through the centre of Erlangen. Each bus can accommodate up to 50 passengers, including 21 fixed seats, 2 tip-up seats and space for 27 standees.

The buses are equipped with MirrorEye, which replaces traditional mirrors with cameras, as well as USB sockets.
