It was then bought by Ashford Luxury Coaches of Middlesex in January 2000, seeing service on its 305 Staines-Poyle service. In March 2011 the the Dart passed to Bear Buses of Feltham before being sold via Ensign the next month in April 2011, before moving on to Accrington, Lancs-based Boomerang Travel in February 2012. It’s now for sale via Pilkington Bus, which owns Boomerang Travel.

“We would like to see this bus go to good home – it’s in good condition,” said partner in the business John Pilkington.

Pilkingtons, which runs an extensive range of services in the Accrington area is also hoping another vehicle for sale will find a good home: R14PLK is a 2000 DAF DB250 with Alexander H43/21D bodywork new to Arriva London South as W372VGJ. The bus has recently been serviced and the brakes overhauled. The Dart is available for £1,500 and the DAF for £4,750.
