Marc said he’ll miss York and his colleagues and friends. FIRST

Marc Bichtemann, The Managing Director of First York, has announced that he is to step down later this year. In a tweet on 5 May, Marc told his followers that: “After 20 years in the UK and five years with First York, my family and I will be moving to Germany in July. It’s been a ‘family first’ decision and we look forward to our next great adventure.”

A spokesperson for First York added: “Marc is leaving the business for family reasons and returning to be closer to his relatives in Germany. This has not been an easy decision for him and his family to make and we give them our very best wishes for the future.

“He will remain in First York until mid-July, guiding the business through its growth plans for this year and recovery as we emerge from the pandemic. We are actively seeking his successor and will make an announcement as soon as this has been completed.

“The day-to-day running of First York continues as normal and Marc being at the helm while we find his replacement will help ensure this process is managed confidently and without disruption.”
