FlixBus has cemented another new partnership, this time with Leeds-based TS Travels Group. The company began operating the Leeds to London route from 29 July, helping Flixbus to expand on its seven days a week service between Leeds, Sheffield and London.
Andreas Schorling, Managing Director of FlixBus UK said: “The need for reliable transport options has never been clearer, so we’re delighted to be welcoming TS Travels Group as a long-term bus partner, to keep Britain moving. TS Travels Group has a keen eye on quality, and a track record of high operational standards, which is exactly what we are looking for in our long-term partners. We look forward to working together and offering passengers more journey options than ever before.”
Taj Singh, Manager of TS Travels Group said: “Becoming part of FlixBus’ rapidly-growing network in the UK is a really exciting new opportunity for us. We have been impressed by the brand’s global success and the attractive partnership model the team is offering, and we can’t wait to get started. We look forward to a long term relationship between both businesses.”
“This summer has underlined how much room there is to innovate in the coach market using our first-class technology, and we are confident that we will achieve our ambition to become the country’s leading coach brand,” Andreas added.
Flixbus also launched a new service on 25 July between Glasgow and London. Inaugurated in time for the start of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which draws hundreds of thousands of comedy and arts fans to the city throughout August, the new route will run every day until October, providing an additional connection between England and Scotland. It will be operated by existing partner McGill’s.
“While airports and airlines cancel flights, we’re adding even more journeys on our reliable, eco-friendly network to ensure everyone can enjoy staycations, day trips and visit loved ones this summer without breaking the bank,” Andreas commented.
Colin Napier, Group Operations Director at McGill’s, added: “We can see a strong appetite for sustainable travel to and from Scotland, so we’re excited to ramp up our offering in partnership with FlixBus and serve more passengers than ever before.”
