The Yutong E9 features updated frontal styling. LEICESTER BUSES

An all new ‘Hop!’ service will be launched in March 2023, looping around Leicester city centre and serving the new St Margaret’s Bus Station, Haymarket Bus Station and the Royal Infirmary as part of Leicester Buses’ Greenlines electric bus network. It will offer links to the existing Greenlines Hospital Hopper and Meynell’s Gorse and Enderby park & ride services.

The new shuttle will operate free every 15 minutes and be operated by the first Yutong E9 nine-metre electric midibuses the UK. The buses have narrow front entrance doors, and a centre door for wheelchair users, which bus alliance Leicester Buses says will also improve boarding and alighting times. The buses have 21 seats plus a wheelchair space.
