Arriva doubles the frequency of its services and launches a new weekly ticket

Arriva is enhancing Luton & Dunstable busway routes A and Z with an increase to five buses per hour and improvements to evening and Sunday frequency.

The operator said that the changes will come into effect on May 1. It is also offering a new A-Z ticket with the upgraded service, which will be valid across the entirety of the network for £15 per week.

The increase to 10 buses an hour travelling to and from Houghton Regis will offer more regular links to both Dunstable and Luton town centre, the Luton & Dunstable Hospital, local railway hubs and London Luton Airport.

In addition to the more frequent services, the buses are to be upgraded with more comfortable E-Leather seating and free on-board WiFi.

Arriva’s Linsey Frostick explained: “The busway has been brilliant for customers across Luton, Dunstable and Houghton Regis, and has given local communities hassle-free and affordable travel that they can rely on.

“We are committed to bettering bus travel in any way we can. By increasing our services, improving our interiors and introducing the flexible A-Z ticket we are making the bus an even more attractive option for anyone wanting to travel across the area.”
