A 1998 Plaxton-bodied Dennis Dart SLF new to New World First Bus in Hong Kong has been acquired for preservation in Britain.
Originally registered HV 5087, the bus returned to the UK in 2002, joining the First Eastern Counties fleet as S664 SNG, working on the 507/508 Costessey park & ride to Norwich city centre, and receiving route branding in 2003 for the ‘Overground Yellow Line’ 28 service between Norwich and Thorpe Marriott.
In 2006 the Dart migrated to Plymouth, running with First Devon & Cornwall from 2006 to 2015. The bus ended up with Surrey-based dealer and preservationist Mike Nash, and is now the latest member of the Eastern Counties Bus Preservation Group’s preserved fleet.
