Go-Ahead Ireland has revealed the make-up of its fleet which will operate on behalf of the National Transport Authority (NTI).

A Go-Ahead Ireland spokesperson confirmed to CBW that a fleet of 61 buses will transfer to the company, with ages ranging from one to four years.

These vehicles will be a mixture of Wrightbus-bodied Volvo B9s and Wrightbus-bodied Volvo B7s, all of which will be rebranded in the Transport for Ireland (TFI) livery.

In addition to the used vehicles, a fleet of 40 new Euro VI Wrightbus StreetLite single-deckers in TFI livery will be joining the company, along with 24 new Euro VI Wrightbus Gemini-bodied Volvo B5TL double-deckers.

All vehicles will be operated by Go-Ahead Ireland and driven by Go-Ahead Ireland bus drivers.

Vehicles began to arrive in May, with the full fleet expected to be in place by August.

The first time a vehicle enters service is expected to be 9 September 2018, with the remainder being gradually introduced before January 2019.
