Go North East is offering free travel to visitors heading for local beauty spots aboard its X75, providing access to the attractions of Belsay Hall and Wallington, supported by English Heritage and National Trust. The service runs every Saturday from 4 May until 7 September, starting at Haymarket bus station in Newcastle city centre, and offers four departures per day.

The operator’s Head of Commercial Daniel Laird said: “We are thrilled to be working in partnership with English Heritage and National Trust to offer free travel to Belsay Hall and Wallington every Saturday. Passengers can hop on board at Newcastle Haymarket and take the Express X75, enjoying a 20% discount on entry tickets.”

Belsay Hall Manager for English Heritage Charlotte Woolley said: “It’s great that we’ve been able to partner up with Go North East and National Trust to run the X75 bus again this summer. The Belsay Awakes project is now completed and there is much more to see and do at Belsay Hall. Visitors who travel on the Belsay and Wallington Express get a 20% discount on entry.”
