HCT Group’s operations in Yorkshire – CT Plus Yorkshire and Powell’s – have teamed up with South Pennine Community Transport, and from Tuesday 1 June accept each other’s unlimited day passes on all services. CT Plus Yorkshire runs services across West Yorkshire, Powell’s is focused on South Yorkshire and South Pennine CT runs services across West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and into Derbyshire and Greater Manchester.
The companies said that the idea behind the move is to create better links for the passengers who use their services and offer better value for money. “CT Plus, Powell’s and South Pennine CT all have something important in common,” said Rhys Hand, Interim Regional Manager at HCT Group. “We are social enterprises – here to help our community get out and about. We think that a ticketing scheme that makes that easier is a great idea and we are delighted to be working with South Pennine CT.”
Kevin Carr, South Pennine Community Transport Managing Director, added: “At South Pennine, we’re all about improving the availability of transport for those who find it difficult to access and linking unconnected communities. Working in partnership with HCT Group to accept each other’s day tickets will mean more options for our passengers with great value for money.”
