Spanish bodybuilder Indcar has signed an agreement with EVM to build on its presence in Ireland; the joint venture will be known as Indcar Ireland.
The new partnership is part of Indcar’s growth strategy in the European market, and it hopes the deal will allow it offer a more direct service than ever before.
EVM now has exclusive rights to the distribution of Indcar’s range in Ireland, which currently includes three models: the Next L8 and Next L9 (both of which are built on Mercedes-Benz chassis) and the Wing Iveco model, which has sold over 3,000 units in Europe since its launch.
Indcar has built more than 300 vehicles for the Irish market since 2001, and says it is ‘proud to return to this important market and to be present in the country as its own identity.’
A strong network of aftersales agents will support the brand’s re-entry into the market across Ireland, including:
- Dublin M50 Truck and Van
- Belfast Mercedes-Benz truck and Van
- Cork Cork truck Services
- Killarney Kerry Coaches
- Galway C & C Commercials
- Kilbeggan EVM Ltd
- Athlone National Coach Maintenance Services
Gaël Queralt, CEO of Indcar, commented: “We are very excited to re-establish in Ireland and start this collaboration with EVM. We have a shared objective to provide both high-quality minibus solutions to operators and a reliable customer service net.
“We are very positive about the potential of combining EVM and Indcar’s commercial expertise. We are sure customers will benefit from this alliance.”
Danny McGee, Sales Director at EVM, added: “Our relationship with INDCAR stretches back many years, so when the opportunity arose to represent the INDCAR products, it was an easy decision. Our strong presence in the Irish market uniquely positions us to market, sell and support the product.”
An official presentation – including roadshows – will be announced soon, with further details to come at Dublin’s Coach & Bus Show 2018, which takes place on 17 and 18 November.
