Irish Citylink and GoBus have turned a coach pink in support of the Irish Cancer Society’s ‘Care For Your Pair’ campaign which aims to spread the word about the importance of breast health and raise funds for breast cancer patients and their families across Ireland as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“We are delighted to be able to create awareness and raise vital funds for the Irish Cancer Society’s Care For Your Pair campaign,” said Citylink and GoBus Head of Marketing Ciara Rosney. “In supporting such an important cause, we wanted to present the message to as many people as possible and therefore our fleet of coaches that transport thousands of passengers per week was the way to do so. We hope to raise as many vital funds as possible to support those affected by breast cancer.”
General Manager at Irish Citylink at Citylink and GoBus Frances Cahill added: “On behalf of Irish Citylink and GoBus we are delighted to be contributing to this amazing organisation. You hope you will never need to call upon the service but if you do, you will see how much work they do in terms of the research, provision of vital information and more importantly the support they offer with counselling and transport during a very difficult time in a person’s life. Being involved in this campaign was extremely important for all the team in Irish Citylink and GoBus and we hope that we can raise vital funds to help the Irish Cancer Society continue their already amazing work in some small way.”
Claire Bowman, Corporate Partnerships Manager at the Irish Cancer Society, thanked the operator for its efforts: “We at the Irish Cancer Society would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to the Citylink and Gobus team for the incredible support and creative thinking demonstrated through this initiative in support of our Breast Cancer Awareness campaign,” she said. “Not only does this initiative give an additional platform to promote the important message of being breast aware but it also allows the public to donate on board Citylink and Gobus coaches throughout October to support our services.”
