Five times World Cup winners Brazil played against England at Wembley on 23 March, and arrived in style thanks to some last-minute wrapping by Grays-based Grayers Graphics. “I got a call on the Wednesday from one of our clients to say that the FA was in desperate need to source a vehicle wrapping company that could work through the night and get the Brazil team bus fully wrapped by the next day,” explained director Paul Grayer. “I was proud to hear that our company’s name was put forward for the challenge. It didn’t take me long to gather the team together and make the decision that we were going to see the project through to completion regardless of the tight time-scale that we had.
The coach turned up at around 1900hrs after dropping all the players off at their hotel, and our print production team was straight on it setting up all the print files, while we had another member of staff driving to our supplier to collect five rolls of canary yellow wrap film. By about 2000hrs we were able to start the work.
”Working through the night we eventually completed the coach with just four installers. I’m so proud of my team for being so dedicated to the project to get it done, and after delivering the coach to the Brazilian federation the next morning the feedback was incredible. We even got offered the job to complete any Brazil team coach across Europe.
”For an Essex based graphics company we couldn’t be more excited to see the players getting on and off of the job that we completed. Grayers graphics celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, and with this being a special year for the company this project and the potential of what’s to come has really made the all-nighter worthwhile.”
