Iveco Bus will provide a sustainable shuttle service for the crew during the European leg of Metallica’s M72 World Tour. The manufacturer will provide three low-impact vehicles for the band’s eco-responsible tour, supplying two electric eDaily minibuses as well as an Evadys coach. The vehicles will feature a special livery inspired by the colours on Metallica’s 72 Seasons album.

The electric minibuses will be used on crew shuttle services to concert venues throughout the tour.

“Metallica’s M72 tour is a perfect fit for Iveco Bus, a pioneer and expert in alternative energy vehicles,” said Domenico Nucera, President of Iveco’s Bus Business Unit. “This tour, organised on environmental sustainability and social responsibility principles and attracting a wide international audience, is a perfect platform to showcase our portfolio of sustainable solutions suitable for all missions. Our low environmental impact vehicles for the tour demonstrate that we can meet different requirements while respecting natural resources, the environment and public health.”

The pair of eDaily minibuses can accommodate 19 and 22 passengers respectively and are equipped with three batteries for a total capacity of 111kWh and a synchronous electric motor delivering a maximum power of 140kW. Flexible charging mode allows charging at public charging facilities, industrial sockets, and domestic sockets at up to 80kW, and the minibuses are capable of a range of 200km, Iveco says.

The tour will stop in nine European cities from 24 May to 14 July.
