To celebrate the launch of its Summer 2015 Day Excursions Brochure, Johnsons Coach Travel took over 400 customers to the West Midlands Safari Park last Tuesday (March 17) for a ‘roaring’ day out.

The brochure launch event gave the Henley-in-Arden-based operator an opportunity to meet its customers face to face and treat them to a fantastic day out at the Safari Park with first-class entertainment from the Alcester Male Voice Choir. The new Summer Day Excursions brochure features 198 days out, and by showcasing the variety and value for money offered, Johnsons was able to promote its new brochure in a new and exciting way.

Johnsons arranged six convenient pick up points to transport the 400 plus customers to the award-winning attraction, which included seven coaches departing from the firm’s yard which is conveniently located alongside the A3400. Coaches also picked up customers in Solihull, Warwick, Bromsgrove, Stratford-upon-Avon and Evesham.

Clients were welcomed at the Safari Park’s ‘Tree Tops’ Pavilion located in the heart of the park with a Danish pastry and coffee. Representatives from top attractions including Blenheim Palace, City Cruises, Continuum Leading Attractions, East Lancs Railway, Gloucester Tourist Office, Historic Royal Palaces, National Memorial Arboretum, Trentham Gardens, Waddesdon Manor, West Somerset Railway, World of Wedgwood, were present to chat to the clients about their fantastic venues to visit in 2015.

John Johnson presented the 2015 Day Excursions programme to the customers, and to top the morning off the wonderful Alcester Male Voice Choir performed.

Clients were then free to purchase lunch and explore the varied attractions including ‘Walking with Lemurs’, Meerkat Mayhem, the Sea Lion Show, Penguin Cove, Twilight Cave, Seaquarium, Reptile House and Creepy Crawlies before a coach tour of the four-mile self-drive Safari Park.

John Johnson, Commercial Director at Johnsons Coach Travel said: “This was a great event for Johnsons and we are really proud to have offered our clients a chance to meet our suppliers and experience the fantastic West Midlands Safari Park for themselves. It’s always great to meet our clients face to face and explain the new excursions we have planned for the summer and hear their feedback and comments. We would like to say a big thank you to the staff at the Safari Park and also to attraction suppliers for supporting our event.”
