Karsan enters North American market with e-Jest

Karsan has entered the North American market for the first time with its e-Jest, having received its first order for the type from the Canadian city of Saint John. Karsan CEO Okan Baş said the company has identified North America as a target market after Europe: “We continue our global collaborations with Canada in North America in accordance with our strategy. Starting to carry passengers in Saint John city of Canada in September, Karsan’s e-Jest has become Canada’s first low entrance, 20-foot electric minibus. We aim to have our electric product range in the North American market effectively in the coming period, and we continue our efforts in this direction at full speed.”

The e-Jest is offered with a BMW electric motor producing 170hp and 290 Nm torque and BMW 44kWh and 88kWh batteries, offering a range of up to 210km.
