As part of its strategy for expansion on the North American continent, Karsan entered the Canadian market at the beginning of the year through an agreement with local distributor Damera. The Turkish manufacturer has now reached an agreement with Damera to enter the American market. Karsan CEO Okan Baş said: “We rapidly and ambitiously entered the North American market at the beginning of the year, starting with Canada. We have recently initiated a distributorship agreement with Damera, our distributor in this market, for the United States. Thanks to this agreement, we aim to achieve rapid growth in North America as we have done in Europe.
In line with our vision of ‘being one step ahead in the future of mobility,’ it is time for the USA in our journey of electrifying public transport in the world. Today, we have 30 e-Jest buses serving locals in Saint John, Oakville, and Happy Valley in Canada,” adding that Karsan’s total deliveries in the two countries will reach 100 e-Jests by the end of the year.
