Karsan is demonstrating its autonomous vehicle technology in front of visitors at three international events during September. The company is participating in three events in Germany and Portugal this month with its Autonomous e-Atak model. Karsan plans to offer test drive opportunities in experience areas of the events to allow visitors to experience the autonomous e-Atak personally.
Karsan CEO Okan Baş said: “As Karsan, we attach great importance to fairs and conferences that offer us a great opportunity to interact one-on-one with our current and potential customers and business partners. This month, we will join three events, two in Germany and one in Portugal, with a concept that will let our visitors closely see our Autonomous e-Atak model and actively experience a journey under real road conditions. We maintain our efforts at full speed to raise awareness of autonomous technology in public transport across Europe.”
Karsan’s Autonomous e-Atak has been carrying passengers in city traffic in Stavanger, Norway, since 2022, and at the beginning of 2024, the route was extended to include a tunnel, which Karsan says makes it the first autonomous vehicle to pass through a tunnel.
