Well-known broadcaster Ken Bruce MBE is to become the first Patron of the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust (GVVT). Ken will take up his patronage from 1 September, marking a major moment for the Trust.

The Trust says the role is vital to its future development, as it seeks to consolidate and build its position as a centre of excellence for preserving the transport and social heritage of Glasgow and western Scotland. The Trust also believes Ken’s apointment will help broaden its appeal to the general public, encourage them to visit events at its Bridgeton Bus Garage, grow its membership and raise awareness of its other activities in the local community.
