The French Keolis group has been awarded a new contract by the Stockholm regional transport authority Trafikförvaltningen (SL) to operate and maintain a fleet of 200 buses on a network of 54 urban and suburban routes to the north and west of Stockholm. The 10-year contract, worth a total of over €600 million, will begin in August 2024. Most of the vehicles run on electricity, with electric buses accounting for 80% of the kilometres covered, but the fleet also includes buses that use biodiesel (HVO).
The Keolis Group has been present in Sweden since 2003 and has more than 5,000 employees in the country, operating in six counties.
