Koller Engineering is celebrating 45 years of delivering safety, innovation, and reliability to the mobility sector. Founded in 1980 by Max Koller, the company has built a reputation for engineering high-quality equipment that ensures safe travel for wheelchair users. Today, the company remains a family-run business, now led by Max’s daughter Leoni Mullis, with her own two daughters also part of the team. Under their leadership, Koller says it continues its tradition of pioneering highly innovative passenger wheelchair restraints and associated equipment that set the benchmark for safety and reliability in the industry.

“For 45 years, our commitment to safety and quality has never wavered,” said Leoni. “What began as a response to limited market choices has evolved into a company dedicated to providing superior products engineered to fit all requirements. Nobody does it safer than Koller, and that’s a promise we’ve kept for nearly half a century. “This anniversary represents not just longevity, but our dedication to maintaining the highest standards in wheelchair accessible travel solutions. Throughout economic challenges and industry changes, we’ve remained true to our founding principles of superior product quality and exceptional customer service.”

Koller says its success is built on a customer-first philosophy, and whether providing a single restraint system or outfitting an entire fleet, the company is known for its attentive, personalised service.

“Our strategy has always been to listen carefully to our customers’ needs and respond with innovative solutions that combine safety, efficiency, and usability,” continued Leoni. “By maintaining our core values and family ethos across generations, we’ve built lasting relationships with customers and partners throughout the industry. “We’re proud of our heritage and excited about our future. As we celebrate this significant milestone, we remain committed to developing new solutions that advance safe, comfortable, and dignified travel for wheelchair users.”

Looking ahead, Koller Engineering says it plans to continue innovating while upholding the same trusted standards that have guided the business for the past 45 years.
