Newly independent operator, Yellow Buses, has introduced five new coaches to operate on its 035 Weymouth, Poole, and Bournemouth to London National Express contract.
The 55-seat coaches represent a £1.7m investment and have joined the fleet that Yellow Buses operate on behalf of National Express.
National Express’ new generation coaches have a larger capacity than previous vehicles and include all the up-to-date features passengers now demand.
These include VUER – the National Express digital entertainment service which is free and includes hours of films, TV shows, news and sport updates and entertainment for children.
All passengers have to do to access it is log-on to the free on-board WiFi.
As well as toilet facilities and large luggage space, the coaches come with the latest high-specification Euro VI engines.
David Squire, Yellows Buses Managing Director, said: “These are exceptional vehicles and the passengers will love them.
“They have three axles which allows for the extra length and they have Scania chassis with Caetano Levante bodywork.
“By offering plenty of room, comfortable seats as well as WiFi, charging points and on-board entertainment we will hopefully attract people who might otherwise have driven.”
