The Alexander ALX400-bodied Volvo B7TL open-topper will run to St Brelade and St Ouen’s Bay

This summer, LibertyBus are introducing the ‘BeachBus’, a new vehicle specifically for beach-goers. The Alexander ALX400-bodied Volvo B7TL open-top double-decker is wrapped in a fun, beach theme and will run to St Brelade and St Ouen’s Bay on days that the weather permits.

Last Friday (July 28) between 1130-1200hrs, members of the public were invited to view, jump on board and get photos with the new bus which was stationed outside Liberation Station.

This bus has been designed to inject a bit of ‘fun’ to taking the bus – perfectly timed for the school Summer Holidays, the operator said.

Kevin Hart, Director of the Channel Islands for HCT Group, said: “We are all thrilled to be launching such a fun bus! The double-decker open-top bus is only going to run to St Brelade’s Bay and St Ouen’s Bay – hence the name ‘BeachBus’. We are really excited to unveil the bus, and hope the public like it as much as we do!”
