The new station includes 14 bus bays and is expected to see 650 departures every weekday

A new transport hub has opened in Lincoln.

The £30m facility, which includes a bus station and a 1,000 space multi-storey car park, was provided with £11m of funding from the Department for Transport and £2m of Greater Lincolnshire Local Economic Partnership funding, with the remainder of the cost borrowed by the City of Lincoln Council. Construction began in August 2016, with the official opening taking place on Sunday, January 28, 2018.

The station includes 14 bus bays and is expected to see approximately 650 departures each weekday.

City of Lincoln Council, in conjunction with Stagecoach and PC Coaches, held a preview event at the station from January 19-20, giving the public an opportunity to explore the new facility and learn more about the services available ahead of the official opening.
