Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) has launched a new partnership with the Citymapper as the county’s official journey planner for public transport, encompassing all public transport options in the county, including its CallConnect on-demand service, as well as rail services, cycling and walking options. It includes real-time journey planning, live bus tracking, and up-to-date alerts on service changes and disruptions.
Head of Transport Services at LCC Mike Reed said: “The launch of Citymapper across Lincolnshire marks a significant step forward in how we connect people with places. By bringing together all modes of transport into one easy-to-use platform, passengers are given a clearer view of how the network fits together – empowering them to plan and complete journeys with greater confidence and ease.
“Citymapper’s proven reliability in other regions gives us confidence that this tool will enhance the way people travel across our county.” Sam Griffiths, Head of UK and Nordics at Via, which acquired Citymapper in 2023 and which also powers the CallConnect on-demand bus service, said: “Lincolnshire is focused on delivering a transport system that works for everyone. With this partnership, we’re not only giving people a brilliant tool to plan their journeys but also providing invaluable data to assist the Council in making informed decisions about how to serve communities across the county.”
