London General wins two routes in latest tenders

London General has won contracts to operate two routes in the capital from Tower Transit, the 212 and 444.

When it takes over control of the routes on 7 March 2020, London General intends to operate 12 New Euro VI hybrid double-deckers on route 212 and 11 new electric single-deckers on the 444 service.

In addition, it has extended its contract to operate the 657 service, which will use a single 2010 Euro V double-decker. Metrobus has also held on to route 126, with 11 2013 Euro V diesel single-deckers to be used on the service.
