London Sovereign and London United gain TfL contracts

London Sovereign will gain four services from September 1, 2018. MIKE SHEATHER

RATP Dev-owned London Sovereign has seen success in the latest round of London bus tender results, winning four new contracts and retaining a further two, while London United also saw success with two wins and three retentions.

The operator gained the H12 from Metroline, with a Peak Vehicle Requirement (PVR) of 10, which will use double-deckers of a type to be confirmed. It also gained the 288 (PVR seven), 303 (PVR eight) and H18/H19 (PVR eight) from Arriva London North, each of which will use new Euro 6 single-deckers.

London Sovereign also retained the H14 (PVR eight, unconfirmed double-deckers) and H17 (PVR seven, 2011 Euro 5 single-deckers). All of its new and retained contracts renew on September 1, 2018.

London United gained the 24 hour 105 service from Metroline (PVR 14, new Euro 6 hybrid double-deckers) and the K3 from Abellio West London (PVR 11, new Euro 6 single-deckers). It also retained the 216 (PVR to be confirmed, new Euro 6 single-decker), K2 (PVR 11, new Euro 6 single-deckers) and K4 (PVR four, new Euro 6 single-deckers). All its new and retained contracts renew on June 30, 2018.
