London Transport Museum has closed temporarily. LONDON TRANSPORT MUSEUM

The London Transport Museum is temporarily closed in the face of the COVID-19 outbreak. The closure, from 18 March, affects the museum’s Covent Garden shop and museum and the depot at Acton Town.

Museum director Sam Mullins said that the safety of visitors, staff and volunteers was the museum’s top priority.

Events until Sunday 31 May will not now be going ahead. Tickets issued for events will be rebooked where possible. “Even though our doors are closed we will be continuing to share the curious and inspiring history of London and its transport in our e-newsletters, and on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. People can also explore our marvellous collection online.

Added Sam: “We will keep everyone updated about our plans to re-open and very much look forward to welcoming people back.”
