Lothian announces new travel hub

Lothian Country has announced on 3 April, that it will be opening a new travel hub in The Centre, Livingston. The operator also announced that it will be adding an additional service to the area.
Commencing Monday 13 May, phase five of West Lothian Operations will launch its Service X17.

Nigel Serafini, Commercial Director, Lothiancountry said: “As our business continues to grow, our network has to continually expand to meet the needs and demands of the local community of West Lothian. Promoting bus travel as a great solution to sustainable active travel journeys will encourage people out of cars and on to public transport.

“Working in partnership with The Centre, Livingston we are delighted to be able to open a local travel hub, making it easier and more convenient for our customers to be kept up to date with Lothian Country bus service and ticketing information, as well as onward travel opportunities.”

West Lothian’s Executive Councillor for Development and Transport, Cathy Muldoon, said: “I’m delighted that Lothian Country are expanding their services in West Lothian, offering more choice and support for those travelling in West Lothian.

“The new travel hub in The Centre, Livingston will provide a central location for support and information in the area’s largest town, while the launch of the new X17 route will be warmly welcomed by residents in communities such as Fauldhouse and Stoneyburn for delivering improved transport links.”
